Mosaic Church is a United Methodist Church plant located at 1249 Three Mile Rd, in a rural / suburban area southeast of Traverse City, Michigan. Rev. Jeremy Wicks was appointed by Bishop David Bard to serve as the planting pastor of this congregation, as of July 1, 2017. Jeremy comes to Traverse City from the Lansing area, and has experience in a variety of professional and church settings, including the formation of small groups, new faith communities and worship venues.
The building that Mosaic launched from was the former home of the Traverse City Christ United Methodist Church. Due to a variety of circumstances including a steep decline in participation and worship attendance, TC Christ ceased operation and worship in the spring of 2016. The building was left “dormant” for over a year, with the hopes of starting something fresh and new.
We desire to be a church where everyone feels welcome and a part of the community. That's our hope. We tend to be a great fit for singles, couples, and families who:
“When I think of the Church a very specific image comes to mind – individual pieces, some with rough edges and others as smooth as glass, each one varying in sizes, shape, color, texture, etc… being brought together to create something beautiful. Each piece is important to the whole, and important to the one who is designing the masterpiece. In essence, I envision the church as a masterpiece that God is creating, and in that masterpiece The Artist has a place for every person, regardless of any of the qualifiers the world puts on us.” – Jeremy Wicks
